Abstract
This study aims to elucidate the concept of “content coherence of the Qur’an” and to examine claims of inconsistency within its teachings. Using a descriptive–analytical approach, relying on library resources—including Qur’anic verses, narrations, the works of Muslim exegists and Qur’anic scholars, as well as the perspectives of Orientalists—the research investigates the internal unity of the Qur’an and its comprehensive structure centered on Tawhid (the oneness of God). The findings indicate that the Qur’an, emphasizing internal coherence and negating any form of divergence (Qur’an 4: 82), presents a harmonious and integrated system of teachings.common misconceptions regarding contradictions—such as in divine attributes, resurrection, stories of prophets, and legal rulings—are mainly the result of neglecting interpretive principles, differences in the levels and aspects of a single subject, or ignoring contextual and textual clues. This article evaluates alleged contradictions with examples and offers solutions such as interpreting the Qur’an with the Qur’an, clarifying the logical conditions for identifying contradictions, and distinguishing between different levels of expression. It demonstrates the profound content coherence of the Qur’an and refutes claims of conflict or contradiction.
